Biscuits & Gravy

Ingredients

    For the Biscuits:
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Gluten Free Flour
  • 7 Tablespoons Dry Milk
  • 1½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 8 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Chilled and Chopped
  • For the Gravy:
  • 1.5 Pounds Sausage
  • ¼ Cup Gluten Free Flour
  • 6 Ounces Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream (Optional)

Directions

    For the Biscuits:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix flour, nonfat dry milk, baking powder, baking soda and salt, mix well.
  3. Add the chopped butter and toss to coat the dry ingredients. Flatten each chuck of butter between your fingers.
  4. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients, add the milk and mix until the dough begins to come together.
  5. Place dough on floured surface to knead roll out and cut the dough.
  6. Chill in freezer for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove biscuits from freezer and place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
