The Fitness Center is now offering Classes!

Yoga, Pilates, and Strength classes are among the first classes to be offered. Make sure to check back frequently to see the new classes as they are offered.

Yoga Classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm.

*Please note Thursday classes will be a beginner class!*

Yoga uses breathing techniques, exercise and meditation. It helps to improve health and happiness. Yoga is the Sanskrit work for union. Physical benefits of yoga include: increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, improved respiration, energy and vitality, maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health, improved athletic performance and protection from injury.

Yoga classes are taught by Mark Sawyer a 500-hour Yoga Instructor.

Pilates classes every Wednesday at 6pm and Saturday at 11am

Introductory class for the new Pilates classes will be Saturday, February 16that 11am. Pilates classes will be offered Wednesday nights at 6pm and Saturday’s at 11am.  Linda McKenney, the Pilates Instructor, has been teaching Pilates for well over 10 years. Having received her Comprehensive Certification from Body Art and Science International (BASI).  Linda has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels, including athletes and those who have begun their practice after ending Physical Therapy for an injury or physical alignment.

Pilates, if practiced with consistency, improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.

Total Body Ball Training Class will be Monday and Thursday at 1:30pm

Ball Class is to define and strengthen your body in this awesome total body ball training class. This workout is designed to strengthen and condition your muscles, especially back and core muscles.  The class format utilizes the stability ball throughout for total-body muscle sculpting. This class continuously challenges participants with exercises that use either body weight only, hand weights and tubing to tone your upper body also.All fitness levels are welcome!

Ball Class will be taught by Melissa Le Roy, Dr. Joseph V. Picone’s Assistant, Yoga Instructor, TRX Instructor, Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer.
